Situated in an abandoned coffin factory built in the 19th century, Evil Intentions Haunted House encompasses 20,000 square feet of thrills and terrors inspired by the nearby cemetery and mental institution. The multi-storied madhouse sends shivers down spines with a cast of creepy characters, adrenaline-pumping surprises, and ghostly apparitions playing pinochle. Once built for the likes of presidents, the factory's remaining caskets now conceal frights that send guests skittering through the house's winding paths. Thrill seekers can leave their vehicles in the free parking lot and collect themselves in the house's indoor waiting area before beginning an adventure as twisted and chilling as the abominable snowman's DNA.

Lombard Jaycees Haunted House

Basement of the Dead

In the late 1920’s, Walker Laundry opened at 42 West New York St. and became Aurora’s largest laundry Company.
Around 1945 Imus Kilya was working there as maintenance engineer. His son Al came to work as his assistant in 1960.

Heat for the building and steam for the presses was supplied by a coal fired boiler installed when the building was built. Al and Imus continually complained that it needed to be replaced, but management wouldn’t spend the money.
In 1964 the boiler exploded maiming and scalding Al and Imus. They never returned to work and rumor was they had vowed to get even.

Under the streets and building were sewer lines and tunnels well known to Al and Imus. A year or so after the explosion people from the laundry started to disappear and body parts were found in the river near the drainage pipes. Al and Imus were suspected but never found. The laundry eventually closed and the basement was never used again. Businesses have come and gone but nobody stays. We know that Al and Imus still lurk beneath the streets of Aurora.

Xtream Hauntings

X-treme Hauntings, one of Lake County's top haunted attractions, is back in Fox Lake and more terrifying than ever. Ranked as one of the top 10 haunted houses in Illinois last year, the 8,000-square-foot warehouse at the corner of Sayton and Honing Roads has been fully renovated to add more fright around every corner than ever before. Upon entering the attraction, people will immediately notice the incredible two-story structure looming in front of them. Their blood will turn cold when the front door opens, where an elevator ride takes them to the basement. Following a slip through a crack of the home's foundation, people will become disoriented and dismayed as they wander where demons and devils from hell itself have taken roost. While favorites like the cage maze, dark maze, Hellevator, and claustrophobia have returned with unique twists, new ultra terrifying rooms have been added to scare the most heartiest of souls. See what happens when a little girl is suddenly possessed from a demon and is looking for new victims to play; then, talk a walk through the mind of a serial killer ready to eat another victim; and, before you leave, make sure you take a nice leisurely stroll through Jed's wonderland. All this an more at X-treme Hauntings in 2009.

Eleventh Hour Haunted House

Asylum of Mad Dreams

Dream Reapers

Nightmares Inc. decided to fabricate a haunted house using a new genre of haunt. One of old technology, dark, misdirecting and actor based scares carefully merged with that of new technology. High tech. animatronics, high detail and touching 4 of your 5 senses. The end result was Dream Reapers.

Dream Reapers haunted house is over 14000 SqFt. of sheer terror. With over 22 rooms, 40+ animatronics, over 40 actors and actresses and something rarely duplicated in the industry, scents based upon the theme of the room. And has wheelchair accessibility.

Dream Reapers was rated the #1 haunted house in Illinois for three years in a row*. And we intend to keep that title this year. Dream Reapers can host your small to corporate sized group with reasonable group rates.

So…

Mazon Dungeon of Terror

Mazon is a very small, sleepy town with only about 1000 people in population. Some people may even use the term to describe Mazon as a farming community. So naturally, one would think that not much of any interest has ever happened in such a small town. "The Dungeon of Terror" has been operating for several years now with an increase in our visitors every year. Some of the visitors will verify what I am about to tell you as they have witnessed some of these events. It is up to you if you choose to believe what I am about to tell you. There have been many strange happenings in the building "The Dungeon of Terror" is located in. As a matter of fact, we have had several volunteers who will not come back after witnessing unexplainable events. In the beginning, we would just hear noises and no matter how hard we searched, we could never explain those noises. Then we started hearing real faint talking, you almost had to strain in order to hear it. Again, no matter where we searched, we could not find the source. Sometimes we would hear arguing, sometimes we would hear crying and moaning but again it would be so faint we would have to stain in order to hear it. The longer "The Dungeon of Terror" has been operating, the more strange things keep happening. But I should start at the beginning. In the early 1900's this building was an opera theatre where it has been rumored that a beautiful woman with long blonde hair caught her husband with another woman and went into a fit of rage. She slit the other woman's throat and then turned on her husband with the knife. She proceeded to stab him over and over until they both were lying in a pile of blood. She then stood over her husband and the other woman with blood everywhere and started crying uncontrollably when realizing what she had done. Now filled with remorse, she climbed to the roof of the building, tied a noose around her neck and then proceeded to jump off the roof and hang herself. Visions of these three poor souls have been rumored to be seen and heard from that night on. But it doesn't end there. When the opera theatre house closed, everyone thought that would be the end of it but it wasn't. In the 1940's this building became a skating rink and the strange noises and events started happening again. Some will tell you they have seen the beautiful blonde standing at the side of the rink covered in blood crying. Others will tell you they hear crying and sobbing, yet others will tell you they hear faint arguing. Also someone said they seen a man with a mustache and a pretty brunette and both had blood all over them. Then the skating rink closed and the strange unexplained events stopped or did they only stop because no one was here to see and hear them. In the 1950's this building became a chain saw shop and small engine repair shop. The visions, crying and arguing started again. Chain saws would start in the back of the shop when no one would be back there. In the bath mirror the beautiful blonde covered in blood stared back. The man with the mustache and pretty brunette were seen running down the hall as if trying to escape from someone or something. Now it is the present time where these three poor souls have been seen and heard here many, many times. And I am sure we will continue to see and hear these three poor souls many more times. We have had several visitors ask us where we had gotten several props only to find out that what they had seen was not a prop. Come and visit us at "The Dungeon of Terror" if you dare.
