X-treme Hauntings, one of Lake County's top haunted attractions, is back in Fox Lake and more terrifying than ever. Ranked as one of the top 10 haunted houses in Illinois last year, the 8,000-square-foot warehouse at the corner of Sayton and Honing Roads has been fully renovated to add more fright around every corner than ever before. Upon entering the attraction, people will immediately notice the incredible two-story structure looming in front of them. Their blood will turn cold when the front door opens, where an elevator ride takes them to the basement. Following a slip through a crack of the home's foundation, people will become disoriented and dismayed as they wander where demons and devils from hell itself have taken roost. While favorites like the cage maze, dark maze, Hellevator, and claustrophobia have returned with unique twists, new ultra terrifying rooms have been added to scare the most heartiest of souls.
